There were so many cute portraits that I couldn’t decide which ones I liked best, so I decided to post a blog feature including half of her images. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Brooks over the past 9 months, from her newborn session until now. She is growing up so quickly and can already stand on her own. I’m sure she will be walking soon. Perhaps she will be running after her four older siblings, or better yet, running away from them! Can’t wait to see you again soon sweet Brooks!

Baby Cora is so beautiful! I just love her puckered lips and delicate features. So glad her mommy likes the color yellow because she wears it well. This portrait is definitely going up in the studio along with some of my other favorites!

Mornings with Micah // Knoxville Children’s Photographer

For three years, Micah received my undivided attention. Now that he has to share me with his brother, I make a point to continue our one-on-one time! This is a glimpse into my mornings with Micah after Eli has gone down for a nap. We play. We pretend. We sing and we laugh. I can’t think of a better way to start my mornings!

Taken around 8am with natural light peeking through the blinds. Shot with 50mm 1/100 @ f/1.8, ISO 1600. Micah photographed with his Z-bot tin robot, Hot Wheels car, robot pillow and Cheerios (no milk, just the way he likes them)!

What to Wear for Spring // Knoxville Family Photographer

With spring mini sessions just around the corner, I thought I would post a couple of what to wear guides to help families coordinate outfits. First, be sure to choose an outfit that you feel comfortable wearing. The same goes for your children’s outfits. If you or your family members do not feel comfortable, it will show in your photographs. Second, choose outfits from a color palette that work well together. “Matchy matchy” is not a good idea as it tends to look more like a uniform instead of an outfit. And third, wear something that shows off your personality! Everyone has their own unique style, coordinate outfits within the color palette to show off your individuality.

I have been photographing Harlow since she was 3 months old. It’s been a pleasure to watch her from grow into a tot and see her personality develop. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure she is going to be one independent little girl. Love her sweet smiles and determination!
